Armenian, Vice President
Nazan Armenian
brings more than twelve years of public relations experience to
Consensus Planning Group. Her strategic communications and media
skills add a valuable dimension to all of the firm’s community
relations work.
At
Consensus Planning Group, Ms. Armenian conducts media relations
for clients involved in complex and controversial issues related
to real estate development, transportation and public facilities.
Further, she is a project manager responsible for CPG community
outreach programs for corporate clients in the real estate and environmental
remediation sectors.
Prior
to CPG, Ms. Armenian managed media relations programs at the Los
Angeles office of Fleishman-Hillard, focusing on clients in the
technology, consumer product and financial services industries.
She came to Los Angeles from Washington, D.C., where she served
in the public affairs practice of Burson-Marsteller. Her work included
coalition building for issue campaigns on behalf of corporate clients
including Coca-Cola, Eli Lilly, Motorola, Chevron, McDonnell Douglas
and AT&T. She also worked on the grassroots and media relations
campaign to pass the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA)
on behalf of the Government of Mexico.
Ms.
Armenian has a wealth of experience working in international development
at Burson-Marsteller, designing and implementing grassroots public
education campaigns in support of economic reform and social marketing
programs funded by the World Bank and the U.S. Agency for International
Development (USAID). She has traveled extensively in Africa, Eastern
Europe and the former Soviet Union to build and organize local communications
teams and to develop public outreach strategies.
Ms.
Armenian earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in history from George
Mason University in Virginia.
