Levy Buch, Vice President/Regional Manager, Ontario
As Vice President
at Consensus Planning Group, Ms. Levy Buch brings over 15 years
of professional experience in local politics, community relations,
and policy planning for transportation, land use and environmental
issues. Her expertise in urban planning, combined with a keen insight
into local politics and community relations, brings tremendous value
to complex and controversial public and private sector projects.
Ms.
Levy Buch recently opened an office for CPG in Ontario, and is directing
community outreach strategies for a proposed senior living complex
in Corona and the CEQA outreach effort for the State of California’s
proposal to expand Patton State Hospital in San Bernardino. Past
outreach efforts Ms. Levy Buch has overseen include single- and
multi-family residential, mixed-use, and retail development projects
in Riverside, San Bernardino and Los Angeles Counties; transportation
projects and corridor studies in Los Angeles, Orange, and Santa
Barbara Counties; and CEQA and NEPA outreach efforts for the Federal
and State of California Departments of General Services, the Los
Angeles Community College District, Caltrans, and the City of Los
Angeles Bureau of Engineering.
Prior
to joining CPG, Ms. Levy Buch served as Chief Field Deputy for Council
District 11 and Planning Deputy for Council Districts 5 in the City
of Los Angeles - directing community relations activities, shaping
land use and transportation policy, and managing special projects.
Prior
to her work with the City Council, Ms. Levy Buch worked in the private
sector on policy planning for transportation and environmental issues.
As principal of her own consulting firm, Ms. Levy Buch assisted
SCAG in developing a Master EIR/EIS for the 1997 Regional Transportation
Plan. She also served at Planning Consultants Research (PCR) and
Cordoba Corporation, two consulting firms where Ms. Levy Buch began
her career, providing technical expertise for numerous environmental,
transportation and land use projects.
Ms.
Levy Buch received her M.A. in Urban Planning (specializing in Transportation
Planning and Social Policy) from the University of California at
Los Angeles, and her B.A. in Social Ecology (with an emphasis in
Environmental Planning) from the University of California at Irvine.
