Josh Gertler, President
Josh Gertler joined Consensus Planning Group in January 2001 bringing with him a decade of experience at two of the world’s largest public relations agencies.

Mr. Gertler provides strategic communications counsel to all clients and he directs all new business and marketing pursuits for the firm’s three offices.

Mr. Gertler provides communications counsel to some of the country’s leading corporations including Honeywell International Inc., The Home Depot, Black & Decker, Target and BNSF Railway. His clients also include several of the real estate industry’s leading developers including Watt Communities, John Laing Homes, Steadfast Residential Properties, SunCal Companies, The Westfield Group and The Olson Company. In addition, he works with federal, state and local governments to provide advice on stakeholder education campaigns and media relations.

Mr. Gertler previously held account management and executive management positions at Hill and Knowlton, Inc. and Fleishman Hillard, Inc.

An active participant in regional transportation policy issues, Mr. Gertler serves on the board of directors of the Valley Industry and Commerce Association (VICA) and is the co-chairman of its Transportation Committee. He also serves on the executive committee of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual Mobility 21 Summit.

Mr. Gertler is also active in housing policy issues as a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI). He serves on the executive committee of ULI's Los Angeles District Council and is assistant chair of the ULI Housing Committee.

Mr. Gertler graduated with distinction with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Sonoma State University. He resides in the San Fernando Valley with his wife Carolina and their sons Alexander and Nicolas.
